About Vee
I am a Digital Specialist with over 20 years experience – in both managing/leading digital projects, and the hands on production of the digital experience (designing and building website interfaces, filming and editing video, creating advertising banners, emails, SEO optimisation, and writing web copy).
I have worked in digital agencies in London and Wellington, implementing web projects and campaigns for corporate clients, charities and government agencies. At this point in my life I want to balance work and family, which has led me to freelance.
My passion is working with people to help them get online and take any confusion out of the way for them. They don’t need to become digital experts, I support them so that they can focus on what they are good at.

Website
I work with you to bring your brand to life online using the content management system of your choice. For my small business clients I work with Wordpress, Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, Shopify, Webflow, and Canva as content management platforms to create websites that are cost effective and affordable for small businesses.
Once the website is built you can manage your content, and I continue to support you when needed to grow your business online.
Content creation
I create engaging content for websites and social media. I write website copy structured to clearly tell the story about your business, with clear call to actions for effective lead generation. This goes hand in hand with the SEO optimisation.
In addition to the copy I also create engaging imagery and videos. So if you are feeling a little stuck about content for your website or social media channels this is a simple way to give it a revamp, and connect with your audience to build community.

Face Up 2 Menopause
I am one of the three co-founders of Face Up 2 Menopause and we run regular learning sessions to educate people about the stages of menopause, its symptoms, and share lifestyle tips that can help ease unpleasant symptoms.
Face Up to Menopause is affiliated with Dr Wendy Sweet (PhD) and incorporates information and research from her MyMenopause Transformation with her permission.
As well as facilitating the menopause learning sessions, I am responsible for creating the branding, website, marketing, handouts, content creation – including imagery and video for social media posts.
Lisa Hunter Consulting
In January 2024 I created the website for Lisa’s consulting business. Working with her existing logo and brand colours I created the digital brand guidelines, expanding the purple palette for the web with some complimentary colours, and establishing the visual style for images and video with her.
Working from information supplied I edited and structured the content for readability and SEO (search engine optimisation).
For this site Lisa needed a one page portfolio site that is responsive for Mobile/Desktop views. We used Canva because she already uses this platform for her business and it makes it really easy to keep everything together.
Over time as her business grows we may build a larger site and look at other CMS platforms, but this is great to keep costs low while she is starting out.
BodyBella Pilates
I started working with my pilates teacher Mel Harrison after lockdown in 2020 building her a content managed site on the Wordpress platform for customers to learn about pilates, the types of classes Mel runs, and the timetable.
For this site Wordpress was a good choice as it was easy to edit and update, it had the option to add blog content, and lots of apps to integrate functionality such as online class booking.
After reviewing online booking tool options I integrated the Acuity Scheduling app into the Wordpress.
Then a few years later I redesigned the site on the Squarespace platform (which owns the Acuity app) so we could take advantage of a more seamless integration of the booking process into the website experience.
